The hameau des 40 arpents is ideal for stays of complete disconnection in the heart of invigorating nature. According to your desires, it will be possible to enjoy well-being treatments at the spa, connect to the benefits of the surrounding forest, enjoy a wide choice of activities and hike or cycle through the woods or on the track. cycle path that follows the path of an ancient Roman road.

Unique comfort

Work completed in 2022 has made it possible to completely renovate the components of the hamlet: an old farmhouse with its mansion, a dovecote and two old pavilions including a restored old bread oven.

This complex includes 4 family suites and 9 comfortable rooms, a large indoor hall with its two mezzanines, a dining room, a lounge bar, a restaurant cooking products from our organic farm as well as large outdoor terraces to enjoy the enchanting setting of the Hamlet.

At the foot of a century-old oak tree, a swimming pool, a spa including a hammam, a sauna, an outdoor jacuzzi, a massage parlour, a bar and a raised terrace allowing you to admire the pond, the orchard (500 fruit trees ) and the vines (2 ha) allows you to enjoy an exceptional well-being area.

Unusual accommodation

On the edge of the forest, the hamlet of 40 acres reveals four huts perched (village Eitineka) under the welcoming shade of large oaks. These unusual and amazing accommodations are in osmosis with the environment for unique emotions. One of them has the shape of a bubble, entirely in wood, which can be reached by taking a footbridge. Feel like the “perched baron” by Italo Calvino*, rediscovering the simple joys of contact with nature and living a real disconnect, far from city life, is what you can experience in these eco-designed perched cabins, in harmony with the forest.

* Reference to the novel Le Baron perché by Italian author Italo Calvino, published in 1957. It tells the extraordinary life, in the 18th century, of a young aristocrat from Liguria, named Côme Laverse du Rondeau, who decides one fine day to climb in a tree and not to come down again.

Between our pond, the forest, our vines, and our organic farm... The Hameau des 40 arpents offers you several activities for young and old that will enhance your stay:

• Arch hunting route:more than 4 km of forest trails dotted with 3D animal targets will allow you to test your archery skills. Several loops are available including a course to FFTA standards (French federation of archery)
• Boat trip:Take advantage of a sunny day to go around our pond in one of our boats.
• Fishing: Our 25-hectare pond offers an idyllic setting for all fishing enthusiasts.
• Mountain biking / running: Discover our forest during a bike ride or a morning jog.
• Spa: To relax, enjoy the sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, swimming pool and a relaxing message from a professional.
• Our experiences: Orienteering, survival experience, yoga or bread-making workshop thanks to our bread oven are all possible experiences during your stay at the Hameau des 40 acres.
• The gutter farm: Located 300 m from the Hamlet, come and visit our educational farm and our exhibition.

Our restaurant

The restaurant of the "Hameau des 40 arpents" will cook all the products from our organic farm. It therefore offers you a locavore gourmet experience, surrounded by nature. A delight for the taste buds of gourmets from all walks of life, and will allow you to discover yourself and appreciate the production of our farm.

With this restaurant, our team is proud to promote "good eating" which is a flagship value for the domain of the Abbaye de Maizières which offers you fresh products, of excellent quality, in (ultra) short circuits. Serving tasty and healthy meat as well as vegetables grown without inputs, literally coming from the ground to the plate, is a source of great pride for the farm and estate team.
