The Abbatial Palace of the Abbaye de Maizières estate

With its 3 Ha park and its pond, the former residence of the abbot of Maizières abbey has a charm that delights each of its visitors. It is a place that is all the more exceptional in that it has been renovated from top to bottom, it is decorated with a swimming pool and a spa, a greenhouse and a tennis court.

With a large reception hall of 200m², the abbey palace has five spacious rooms and suites including two family suites (each with two double beds). The rooms are equipped with a double bed with desk, a dressing room and a private bathroom with shower and/or bath and toilet. Linen bed linen, bath towels and bathrobes are made in France and of high quality. Families of up to 14 people can stay at the palace.

The Castle of Maizières

In a green setting crossed by the Monks’ Canal, stands what was once, until the French Revolution, one of the wings of the Cistercian abbey. Today, there are 1,400 m² of refinement and elegance.

In the 9-hectare park, the elements of a landscape that encourages daydreaming are harmoniously distributed: a canal, a pond, a chapel, vineyards, an orchard, monastic gardens, a horse park and a wooded area. The outbuildings are added to the picture with a fully restored paddle mill, above ground cellars rehabilitated for receptions, a winery...

The Castle has eight suites and rooms, including a 120 m² apartment suite as well as two large reception rooms, two dining rooms, and its heated swimming pool.

The accommodations of the Village des Novices and the Dépendances in addition to the rooms of the castle allow the provision of a total of 26 rooms.

With its Orangerie of 500 m2 and the old vaulted cellars above ground of 300 m2, the castle is designed to offer you the best conditions for your events.

The Hameau des 40 Arpents: luxury, calm and beauty

The hamlet of 40 arpents stands in the heart of a landscape of vineyards, pastures and orchards, less than 200 meters from the Maizières pond and the 650-hectare forest. Work completed at the end of 2022 has made it possible to completely renovate the components of the hamlet: an old farmhouse that has become a vast mansion, a dovecote and two old pavilions including a restored old bread oven.

This set includes 5 suites and 8 bedrooms, a large indoor hall with its two mezzanines, a dining room, a lounge bar with fireplace, a fully equipped high-end kitchen and large outdoor terraces.

From 2023, come and enjoy this corner of paradise surrounded by nature and its spa (swimming pool / sauna / jacuzzi / hamam) for a unique stay.

Unusual accommodation in Burgundy: Le Village Eitineka

On the edge of the forest, the hamlet of 40 arpents reveals four cabins perched under the welcoming shade of large oak trees. These unusual and amazing accommodations are in osmosis with the environment for unique emotions. One of them has the shape of a bubble, entirely in wood, which can be reached by taking a footbridge. To feel like Italo Calvino's "perched baron" (see the perched baron), rediscover the simple joys of contact with nature and live a real disconnection, far from city life, this is what we can experience in these eco-designed perched huts, in harmony with the forest.

The Gouttières Farm: a biodynamic approach

The Gouttières Farm is a 20 Ha polyculture biodynamic farm with orchards, vines, market gardening, crops, beehives and farm animal breeding (cattle, horses, sheep, pigs and poultry).

This eco-responsible farm, which is in the process of obtaining the Demeter certification, has been certified organic and meets the standards of biodynamics. It is intended to provide for all the food needs of the estate.

In order to share and develop new teaching methods, the farm displays a permanent exhibition on biodiversity and local flora and fauna, with various activities.

The Maizières Forest: an eco-managed forest

The exploitation of this 650-hectare forest is based on a PEFC-labelled management plan derived from the latest innovations in silviculture. The forest estate is developing a range of highly diversified areas and activities: silvotherapy trail, 3D hunting bow trail, hiking and horseback riding, Land'Art, observatory reserve, hunter-gatherer trail, fitness trail, mountain biking... All these activities are part of a shared management of the ecosystem that involves local players (leaseholders, hunters and operators) and meets the requirements of sustainable development.

The Maizières Pond: a nature reserve

The 22-hectare pond has been completely rehabilitated in keeping with the original features, namely a surrounding walking path running along the five-kilometer-long banks, two dykes, a bird island, a swimming beach, a pontoon, a fishery and spillways. This nature reserve for migratory and sedentary birds provides an ideal setting for walks, observation, fishing and nautical activities.
