The Château de Maizières: a castle steeped in history
and the latest technology for living there

In a green setting crossed by the Monks’ Canal, stands what was once, until the French Revolution, one of the wings of the Cistercian abbey. Remaining standing despite the destruction, this wing of the abbey was transformed into a castle. Today, there are 1,400 m² of refinement and elegance.

An exceptional park with centuries-old trees

In the 9-hectare park, the elements of a landscape that encourages daydreaming are harmoniously distributed: a canal, a pond, a chapel, vineyards, an orchard, monastic gardens, a horse park and a wooded area.

The outbuildings are added to the picture with a fully restored paddle mill, above ground cellars rehabilitated for receptions, a winery...

The rooms: The life of a lord surrounded by the latest technologies

The castle has eight spacious suites and rooms including a 120 m² apartment suite. Passing the door, we let ourselves be charmed by the refined decoration, mixing the old and the modern, the attention given to details and the great comfort that invite you to relax.

In the park, ten unusual accommodations, eco-designed and cozy, can accommodate up to 37 people. This set is called the "Village of Novices" in homage to the Cistercian past of the place. Finally, the 7 monks' rooms above the above-ground "cellars" of the outbuildings can accommodate 14 people.

The living rooms

The castle has other surprises in store: two large reception rooms, a dining room, a winter lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a heated swimming pool and an orangery dedicated to large receptions. One of the grand salons d'honneur is distinguished by the presence of a grand piano, overlooked by a 17th century painting, representing a "cavalier view of the abbey of Maizières". This allows us to imagine the size of the abbey at the time, with a church, a cloister, monastic gardens (vegetable garden, orchard, medicinal plants, mulberry for silkworms).

In the privileged atmosphere of the castle, the dining room and the winter lounge can accommodate up to 40 guests for meals.
